Pud down that packet... (Yorkshire Puddings)

Yorkshire Puddings

Yorkshire puddings are so easy, cheap and quick to make, so why do people buy packet mixes, or ready made ones? Anyone who says it's for the convenience, clearly hasn't made my 10 minute mix!

We all know that Yorkshire puddings are unhealthy, but I would rather have homemade ones, which use 4 ingredients than a packet full of extra unhealthy stuff.

Ingredients
  • 3 large eggs
  • 120g plain flour
  • 275ml semi-skimmed milk (full fat milk is heavy and can cause your puds to sink!)
  • Vegetable or sunflower oil

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 180c fan/gas mark 4.
  • Whisk your eggs and flour together and then gradually add the milk, until all of the ingredients have combined and contain no, or very little lumps.
  • Using a muffin or cupcake tin, put a few drops of oil into each section of the tin (literally enough to cover the base). Put the tray in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour the mix into the tray and cook for 20-25 minutes.
  • Avoid opening the oven at all, but if you must, you're usually okay to do so at the 20 minute mark.
Happy eating!
